Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Former Education Minister Partha Chattopadhyay, who is embroiled in corruption allegations related to the recruitment of teachers, made an appearance at the Alipore Court on Tuesday. Upon his arrival, Chatterjee responded to questions about Byron Biswas joining the Trinamool party. However, he remained silent when asked by Arpita about other matters.
Partha Chattopadhyay arrived at the Alipore Court around 11:30 am on Tuesday. When questioned about Byron Biswas, who recently joined the Trinamool after winning the Sagardighi bypoll on a Congress ticket, Chatterjee remarked that more individuals would come to the Trinamool. He pointed out that Byron had previously expressed admiration for the party, including praise for Abhishek Banerjee's Navajwar Yatra and well wishes for their electoral success.
Chatterjee's body language indicated that he still holds strong sentiments towards the Trinamool party. It appears that he believes the party should provide him with support and refuge if he can escape the current predicament. While Partha Chatterjee did not elaborate further on his thoughts and aspirations, his remarks suggest a lingering affinity for the Trinamool.
